Smart Air Condition control system

The Smart Air Condition Control System helps supermarkets maintain optimal cooling at 24°C while reducing electricity consumption through automated temperature and time-based AC control.

Smart Air Condition control system

About The Project

In modern supermarkets, air conditioning plays a vital role in maintaining a comfortable shopping environment, as customers typically spend a considerable amount of time inside these enclosed spaces. However, AC systems are also the largest contributors to electricity consumption, making energy costs one of the highest operational expenses in retail stores such as Keells outlets. To address this challenge, the Smart Air Condition Control System has been introduced to optimize cooling performance while significantly reducing energy usage. The system is designed based on the recommended optimum indoor temperature of 24°C, as lowering temperatures below this level leads to a substantial increase in power consumption. The solution reduces electricity usage through the following smart control features: Maintaining AC temperature at the optimal 24°C level Automatic ON/OFF control based on: Time schedules Room temperature conditions By implementing automated temperature management and intelligent control, the system helps supermarkets lower electricity costs, improve energy efficiency, and maintain a comfortable shopping experience for customers while supporting sustainable operations.
